The story of driving license

For a second I almost have heart attack. Today I made a call to Licensing Police department and I found out that I can’t get back my Malaysia driving license unless I give up my Finnish driving license (moving out of here permanently). I was thinking shit, I would have to retake the whole driving test again to retrieve back my expired Malaysia driving license =.= I should not have exchange my Malaysia driving license to Finnish one at the 1st place. But it was very handy as a Finnish driving license can serve as my Identification card.

Scary scary, but thank God with the power of google-ing I found out that I can renew my Malaysia driving license online  http://www.myeg.com.my/. hohooo!!! So, I don’t really need my license with me anyway. Total relieve. And I can also check when it expires. http://portal.jpj.gov.my/v5/index.php/en/enquiry-expiry-date-of-driving-license This is so cool I still have 1 1/2 year till I need to renew.

One thing good about Finnish driving license is they never expired!!! Well not really never but mine valid till 2054!!! is a 55 years driving license. And yet Malaysia only allow renew up to maximum 5 years. If I understood right this law is to make sure the faulty drivers will be bared from renewing. Maybe I should consider getting an International driving license someday.
