Fire Belly Newt

Finally, we got ourselves the water lizard (Fire Belly Newt) wikipedia. It cost €15 per one and we get 2, so they don’t get lonely. Both of them are male so no accident happen One is dark brown (bigger) and another one is black. I decided to name them “Mighty Brownies” and “Mini Blackies”. The big brother “Mighty Brownies” is more active and always wander around… looking for food i guess. While little brother “Mini Blackies” is quite shy, not moving much (at first we though is dead after we put it in the aquarium). “Mini Blackies” is a handsome guy. His black color  shows his belly red pattern nicely – like it’s name fire belly. Maybe next we will get a turtle…but it cost €75 one. Super expensive but the turtle can grow really huge and cute.

The day is super nice and sunny like it will always be in summer, so we went for 2nd round biking to the store and on the way back, I picked some flowers for balcony decoration The flowers grow in wild is really beautiful and tempting. I cant help myself but pluck quite a lot :p I know i am evil for destroying their chance of growing wild in once a life time summer month but I will try to keep them alive in the flower vase. Beautiful things are meant to be appreciated.

It is a hobby day. Made egg tarts and the crust was good but not the filling. Tonight is World Cup 2010 3rd place fight between Germany and Uruguay. I am neutral in this match Maybe Mr. Paul the octopus has a hint on this. He has been right so far about Germany match.

Date 19 July 2010: After a week, Mini Blackies pass away. No idea what happened but he have been isolating himself on the floating wood and barely move or eat. At first at the 2nd day he has lost one of his finger. 7 day later he lost half of his hand. We were wondering did he eat himself or Mini Brownies attacked him. but most likely a disease. It was quite creepy to found Mini Blackies had his mouth and eyes opened wide (like almost poping out) staying still in the water, not moving at all. I was so disturbed by his look that I had Blue to remove him from the aquarium. Poor Mini Blackies. Mayb you rest in peace.
